Ammonia Safety Training Institute in partnership with Concept Controls is excited to be hosting Ammonia Safety Day an informative event, happening across Alberta in April 2025, for everyone interested in deepen their knowledge and skills in ammonia safety.

Calendar of Events

Attend any day of your choosing or all if you desire.

This training is intended for anyone and everyone – Facilities leaders, safety leaders, public safety personnel, first responders, regulators, and owners of sites concerned with ammonia safety or other hazardous chemicals. Local emergency planning representatives are also encouraged. This in-class, conference style presentation will cover the following topics:

Topics and Exercises:

  • Physiological effects of ammonia on the body
  • Chemical and physical properties of ammonia
  • Integrating Industrial response with public safety command
  • Value of prevention, protection, and preparedness
  • Understand hazards, mitigate risks, and prepare for threats
  • Evacuation, decontamination, and medical care
  • Lessons learned from accidents and emergency events
  • Value and use of chemical protective clothing and equipment
